Hyrum Huskey Jr. is a Las Vegas retiree. After three separate and extended “careers” as a Commissioned Army Officer, college Dean of Student Services, and a public transit manager, he hopes to continue his lifetime of underpaid writing fun. He previously published one nonfiction book (Herald House, 1980) and wrote news and feature articles for four years at The Montague Reporter, a New England weekly newspaper in MA. Hyrum has also published short fiction, nonfiction articles, and humor poetry in various publications, including Tales from The Silver State III (2016, Muddy River Press), Messing About in Boats, Scuttlebutt, and in various trade journals. He is an avid backroads traveler, reader of writing books, and frequent writing conference attendee—when he should be home with his butt in a chair, writing.
